He was born February 18, 1929 in Wabash County, Indiana, to Floyd L. and Mildred F. (Eads) Dyson. Richard was a graduate of Linlawn High School. He was a truck driver for Remington Trucking Company 20 years, retiring in 1995. He also farmed for 17 years. Read More	Richard A. Dyson, 81, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 11:25 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor East in Wabash. He was born February 18, 1929 in Wabash County, Indiana, to Floyd L. and Mildred F. (Eads) Dyson. Richard was a graduate of Linlawn High School. He was a truck driver for Remington Trucking Company 20 years, retiring in 1995. He also farmed for 17 years. Richard was a member of the Richvalley United Methodist Church, the Richvalley Lions Club, and a past member of the Wabash American Legion Post 15. He was a US Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Korean conflict. He grew up on the home farm and lived at Miller's Merry Manor East since September 27, 2005. He is survived by two sons, Kent Dyson and Ron Dyson, both of Wabash; two sisters, Martha Gregory of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Myrtle Paul of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; brother, Robert (Patricia) Dyson of Poneto, Indiana; and his sons' mother, Virginia Frieden of Wabash. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Dyson. Funeral services will be held at Richvalley United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Burris officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Valor at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash and 10-11am Tuesday at the church. Preferred memorial is Richvalley United Methodist Church or the Richvalley Lions Club.
