Description	:	Richard (Rick) Chris Jorgensen II, son of Richard and Doris Jorgensen was born in Jefferson IA, on December 3, 1948. He passed away at the VA hospital in Omaha NE on October 26, 2019. Rick lived in Council Bluffs most of his adult life. Rick grew up in Guthrie Center, IA. He graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1967. He went on to serve our country in the US Navy for the next six years, including time in Vietnam. In 1981, he married and out of that union he was blessed with two stepchildren, Jason and Elisa. Rick lived in Council Bluffs most of his adult life. Rick grew up in Guthrie Center, IA. He graduated from Guthrie Center High School in 1967. He went on to serve our country in the US Navy for the next six years, including time in Vietnam. In 1981, he married and out of that union he was blessed with two stepchildren, Jason and Elisa. Rick worked in commercial equipment sales and service most of his life. He loved spending time with his family, and he was always known for joking around. Rick had a love for collecting coins, fishing, camping, playing games and all-around giving his friends and family a hard time. Rick loved going to Las Vegas and gambling, he never spent a whole lot but sure could make $20 last a long time. Rick also had a love for history, including antiques, especially those with a family history. Rick was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his children, Jason (Renae), Elisa (Garry); and his only sibling, Dianne. Rick also left behind grandchildren, Emily, Nathan, Austin, Tristan and Hailey. Also, a niece, Ashely (Justin) and nephew, Ryan. Rick always had a smile on his face and he loved to sit down and tell stories about the past and about his grandchildren. Rick was a man who invested in his relationships, not in things. Rick loved to make people laugh, and he had a great sense of humor. Rick leaves behind the most precious gifts we can give to the living, memories.
