Description	:	Richard C. Ladd Richard C. Ladd, 71, died at 1:11 p.m. May 16, 2012, at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1941, in Lima to Paul E. and Emma K. Bridges Ladd, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 22, 1982, he married Carol F. Baldridge, who survives in Lima. Mr. Ladd was a 1959 graduate of Elida High School. Following graduation he worked as a mechanic at his family's business, Ladd Service Station, Elida. He then became a bus mechanic for the Elida School System for 15 years, retiring in 1990. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors also include his first wife, Susan Tomlinson Hurlburt, of Lima; four daughters, Tracye (Dave) Wheeler and Kimberly (Russ Scott) Stettler, both of Lima, Connie (Will) Thompson, of Bluffton, and Jodi (Kevin) Kennedy, of Harrod; a son, Richard "Shane" (Tracy) Ladd , of Lima; a stepson, Kent (Michelle) Caudill, of Lima; two sisters, Janet (Lanny) Bailey and Barb (Larry) Kunkleman, both of Elida; and 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Ladd . A private burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Justin Musto will officiate.
