Davie, accompanied on the piano by Miss Miriam Kimball. The pall bearers were Glen Robe, Sherman Edenfield, W. J. Edenfield, and Bert Kernen of Villisca, C. B. Curtis of Red Oak, and Lee Breckenmaker of Cumerland and burial was in the Villisca Cemetery. Richard Edenfield, son of Jonas and Amanda Edenfield was born November 10, 1870 on a farm southwest of Villisca. He was the youngest of eleven children of whom three brothers and one sister survive. They are W. J. and Sherman Edenfield and Mrs. Mollie Robe of Villisca and Grant Edenfield of Vancouver, Washington. Mr. Edenfield was married August 29, 1894 to Gertrude Lott and to this union one child was born, who died in infancy. Mrs. Edenfield died in 1910. Mr. Edenfield grew to manhood in this vicinity but for the last 40 years had made his home in Omaha. Those from a distance who came to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Curtis and daughter, Dorothy from Red Oak and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Breckenmaker and daughter Betty of Cumberland. Villisca Review, Friday, June 25, 1937, page 3
