Description	:	Richard Edward Kite, 77, of Shenandoah, Virginia, passed away, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born March 14, 1939 in Page County, Virginia and was the son of the late Mervie E. Kite and Linda Mae Foltz Kite. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Marie "Virginia" Foltz. Richard was a full-time farmer his entire life and liked his Allis Chalmers tractors. Read More	Richard Edward Kite, 77, of Shenandoah, Virginia, passed away, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born March 14, 1939 in Page County, Virginia and was the son of the late Mervie E. Kite and Linda Mae Foltz Kite. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Marie "Virginia" Foltz. Richard was a full-time farmer his entire life and liked his Allis Chalmers tractors. In addition to farming, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, tinkering in his workshop, working with his cattle and chickens, and working alongside his son, Kenneth on, the farm. On May 22, 1965 he married, Doris Richards Kite, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Kenneth Kite and wife, Anita; daughter, Patsy Miller; grandchildren, Anna and Andrew Miller; great-grandson, Mason Eppard, all of Shenandoah, and a niece, Anita June Foltz of Harrisonburg. He also leaves behind, "Ginger" and "Bucky," the family dogs. A graveside funeral service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 2:00pm with Pastor Earl Painter officiating. At Richard's request, there will be no viewing or family night. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6355 US Highway 340 North, Shenandoah Va. 22849 or Shenandoah Rescue Squad, 544 4th St. Shenandoah Va. 22849. ________________________________________________
