Description	:	Richard E. Uhl, 90, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at his residence. He was born on December 30, 1921 to the late Ralph and Helen (Messerly) Uhl. Richard served his country in the United States Marine Corp during WWII. He was a repairman for Ohio Bell. Richard was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mildred J. Uhl; brother, Robert Uhl and sister Margaret Uhl. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Church with Fr. Craig Eilerman as Celebrant. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery with a military graveside service conducted by the Lancaster Ohio Veterans Burial Detail.
