Richard Franklin Odor, son of Ray and Gladys (Bissell) Odor, was born Aug. 25, 1924 in Webster City. He attended schools in Webster City. During World War II he served with the United States Air Force in the European Theatre. On Feb. 16, 1946 he married Catherine "Kit" Dias in Windsor, England. The couple resided in Webster City. For 15 years he was employed at Franklin Manufacturing. For several years he had been employed by the US Postal Service, most recently serving as postal clerk. He is survived by his wife; sons, Richard "Lee," Marshalltown, Jack L. and David Mark, both of Fort Morgan, CO; six grandchildren; sisters, Helen Scarborough, Waterloo, and Lauradell Lee, Webster City. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Harry Beem. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, American Legion Post No. 191 and a life member of Izaak Walton.
