Description	:	HELTON, RICHARD GLEN—Richard Glen Helton was born June 13, 1929, at Geneva, Neb., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Helton. He departed this life, February 12, 1968, at his home in Wilmington, Ca. Death was due to an accidental gunshot wound in his home. He was united in marriage to Marian Fessler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Fessler of Sutton, October 24, 1947. To this union were born four children, Ricky, Ralph, Kathy and Karen. He departed this life, February 12, 1968, at his home in Wilmington, Ca. Death was due to an accidental gunshot wound in his home. He was united in marriage to Marian Fessler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Fessler of Sutton, October 24, 1947. To this union were born four children, Ricky, Ralph, Kathy and Karen. Richard spent most of his life in Geneva, graduating from Geneva high school with the class of 47. He was employed in Geneva several years before the family moved to California in March, 1957. Left to mourn his passing, besides his wife and family, are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Helton; one brother, Donald of Bradenton, Fla., and one sister, Doris, Mrs. Donald Moravec of Geneva, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva at 1:30 p. m. Sunday, February 18. Rev. K. Orlando Lee officiated. Sheldon Johnson sang “My god and I” and “Good Night and Good Morning,” with Mrs. Johnson accompanist. Pallbearers were Marvin Dockter, Ted Hedden, Maurice Lovegrove, Michael O’Brien, Francis J. Reinsch and Ralph Softley. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 22 February 1968 page 2.
