Online condolences can be made at www.nicklasdjensenfh.com. Richard H. Albers was born on Nov. 3, 1935, to Meinhard and Eva (Lent) Albers, in Danbury, Iowa. The family moved from the Danbury area to the Midway area when he was young. After graduation, Richard joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1955 to 1959, then he returned home to farm. He was united in marriage to Sandra Dixon on Sept. 30, 1962, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Midway. To this union three children were born. Richard farmed in the Anthon, Iowa and Midway area for many years until he retired from farming and drove truck for more than 40 years for various trucking companies. He liked spending time with family and friends, especially his three grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley and Levi. He also enjoyed cooking and canning produce from his garden and fishing. Survivors include his sons, Ronald Albers of Correctionville, Iowa, and Dennis Albers of Holstein, Iowa; three grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley and Levi of Holstein; siblings, Donald (Marcia) Albers of Jewell, Iowa, Robert (Diane) Albers of Fergus Falls, Minn., and Betty Jensen of Spirit Lake, Iowa; brother-in-law, Wilbur Todd of Anthon, Iowa; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant son, Murray Daniel; his sister, Shirley Todd; and brother-in-law, Everett Jensen.
