She moved to the Correctionville area with her family as a child. She graduated from Correctionville High School and worked as a waitress in cafes in Correctionville. She married Richard H. Albers on September 30, 1962, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Midway. After their marriage the couple farmed in the Midway area. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Midway, rural Battle Creek. Survivors include her husband, Richard, two sons, Ronald of Correctionville and Dennis and his wife Karen of Galva; her father, Raymond Dixon; her mother-in-law, Eva Albers of Battle Creek, Iowa; five brothers, Gerald and his wife Laura Dixon of Sioux City, Iowa, Danny and his wife Pat Deeds of Correctionville, Randy and his wife Sally Deeds of Correctionville, Rick and his wife Carol Deeds of Pierson, and Mick and his wife Reta Deeds of Correctionville; three sisters, Janice (Q-Ball) and her husband Roy Hunwardsen of Correctionville, Lana and her husband Larry Whitesell of Bakersfield, California, and Tootie and her husband Jerry Bumsted of Mapleton, Iowa; two grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Deeds, a son, Murray, her stepfather, Daniel Deeds, and a sister, Agnes Albers.
