Description	:	Richard J. Diede, 75 died Saturday August 2, 1980 in the Yankton Hospital. He had become ill at home and died a short time later in the hospital. Richard Diede was born September 29, 1904, the son of Gottlieb and Rose (Gimble) Diede at Kaylor, South Dakota. He was married to Margaret Haeffner June 27, 1922 at Tyndall, and they farmed near Kaylor for three years before moving to Hand County, where they continued to farm near Miller for 25 years. He had become ill at home and died a short time later in the hospital. Richard Diede was born September 29, 1904, the son of Gottlieb and Rose (Gimble) Diede at Kaylor, South Dakota. He was married to Margaret Haeffner June 27, 1922 at Tyndall, and they farmed near Kaylor for three years before moving to Hand County, where they continued to farm near Miller for 25 years. They then moved to Miller, where he worked in the lumber yard. Upon his retirement fifteen years ago, they moved to Yankton to make their home. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, two daughters, Mrs. Alden Lowe (Adeline) of Yankton and Mrs. Gladys Eisenbeisz of Groton, two sisters, Mrs. Esther Engel and Mrs. Lena Mehrer both of Miller, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, an infant daughter, Bonita Lee, and an infant grandson. Funeral: First United Methodist Church, Yankton. Officiating: Rev. Robert essey. Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery, Yankton.
