Active casket bearers will be Robert Ames, harry Lausen, Robert Grey, Neil Creager, Pete Kleinsasser and Ernest Clement. In an honorary capacity are Elmer Dietrich, Dr. Norman Meriweather, George Voelker, Leonard Kallestad, Alvie Haberling and Elgin Merxbauer. Mr. Diede was born April 15, 1907, in Hutchinson County. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Diede. He was married January 15, 1929, to Anna Marie Stoebner at Tripp. They first made their home southwest of Miller, until 1936, when they moved to Holden township, where they purchased the farm on which he was residing at the time of his death. Diede had been a member, by transfer, of Trinity Lutheran since 1937. He was not only active in community affairs, serving on both township and school boards, but was also very active in his church. At the time of his death he was serving as a member of the church council and the building committee of the church. Survivors are his wife, four daughters, Delores (Mrs. Ellsworth Gussler), Miller, Shirley, (Mrs. Frank Wellner), Fort Thompson, Marjean, (Mrs. Robert Fawcett), Ree Heights, and Mavonne, (Mrs. Lynn Neu), Rockham, and one son, Marvin, of Miller. Three are also three sisters, Mrs. A.G. Link, Sioux Falls, Mrs. Emil Mehrer, Highmore and Mrs. John Engel, Miller, and two brothers, Richard, Miller and Albert, Gulfport, Miss.
