He was born Sept. 8, 1942 in Port Clinton, OH to the late George H. and Lillian M. (Sallee) Rizor. His first wife was Sue Frederick, he then married Patricia A. (Miller) Thomas on Aug. 28, 2001 and she preceded him in death on Mar. 23, 2008. He is survived by a son Stephen "Steve" , wife Lisa Rizor, TX and a step-son, Keith, wife Teresa Thomas,Wharton, OH, grandchildren Brad, Nik, Trevor and Tommie Rizor, Ryan and Cass Eldridge all of TX, step grandchildren, Tricia, Tanya and Dalton Thomas all of Wharton, OH, a brother William, wife Effie Rizor, Kenton, OH, a sister Alice Huber, Lima, OH, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by three brothers Ronald, James & Wilmer Rizor and 3 sisters Sandra Gault, Darlene Van Horn, & Wilma Rizor and a nephew Tylor Lauck. Dick graduated from Riverdale High School. He was retired from Cooper Tire, Findlay, OH. He was an active member of Blanchard River Church of Christ. Dick was an avid OSU fan, his hobbies included gardening, woodworking and working on the lawn . He was an animal lover especially his dog "Lacey". Dick enjoyed going to sporting events, He was an avid comedian but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Funeral services will held Mon. Nov. 3, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in the CLARK SHIELDS Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Umphress officiating. Burial will be in Hueston Cemetery, Forest, OH. Visitation will be held Sun. Nov. 2, 2008 from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Blanchard River Church of Christ in care of CLARK SHIELDS Funeral Home 301 S. Patterson St. Forest, OH.
