Description	:	Richard Lee "Dickie Lee" Weiser, 71, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 1, 2021. He was born on August 1, 1950, at Garden City the son of Jerome S. and Donna Lee (Wheatcroft) Weiser. Rich graduated from Dighton High School in 1968 and was drafted into the United States Army shortly after he began college at Fort Hays State University. He was born on August 1, 1950, at Garden City the son of Jerome S. and Donna Lee (Wheatcroft) Weiser. Rich graduated from Dighton High School in 1968 and was drafted into the United States Army shortly after he began college at Fort Hays State University. He served as an office clerk in Thailand during the Vietnam War. After his discharge he attended Goodland Vo-Tech and continued his studies at Hutchinson Community College. On May 30, 1981, he married Linda Stremel in Dodge City. Rich owned and operated Dickie Lee's Lounge & Parlor from 1980 to the early 1990s. He spent the rest of his life as the owner and contractor of his Company RLW Construction. His younger brother, Robert, worked alongside Rich and his small crew for many years. In later years he also did roof inspections for Reliable Reports. He was an avid and competitive golfer who won several tournaments throughout the state and took great pride in his two holes in one. Many will remember Rich for his passion for automobiles, especially his 1956 Ford pickup from high school and his bright, shiny Corvettes. A cribbage player and great dancer, he never knew a stranger, always enjoyed a good joke, and loved spending time with his family. Rich's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his Parents- Jerome and Donna Weiser and Brother-Robert "Snub" Weiser. He is survived by his Son- Nick Weiser of Dunkirk, New York, Sister- Brenda (Steve) Kuhlman of Cimarron, Former Wife- Linda Stremel of Dighton, Step-Children- Kimberly (Shane) Bell of Linwood and Kurt Cummins of Dighton, 4 Grandchildren- Wyatt and Aspen of Linwood and Max and Kendreex of Dighton. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 7, at St Theresa Catholic Church in Dighton. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post # 190 and Kansas Army National Guard Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to Lane County Country Club in care of Boomhower Funeral Home. Hays Post, 8/3/2021
