Manning Camlin City Businessman Richard Manning Camlin, Georgetown businessman and church official died suddenly early Saturday morning at his residence here apparently a heart attack. Mr. Camlin son of the late Wade Overton Camlin and the late Lula Smith Camlin was born in the Bloomingvale Section of Williamsburg County on July 20 1915. He was reared in that area and attended school in Florence and Andrews High School. He established his home in Georgetown in early manhood and had lived here since that time. Here he owned and operated Camlin Motors and Camlin Construction Company and was also associated in several other business enterprises. He had long been and ardent and devoted worker in his Church, Dun can Memorial Methodist Church. At the time of his death he was Superintendent of the Church School, Associate District Church, Mayleader, and member of the Official Board, he was a member of the Board of Trustees of the South Carolina Methodist Advocate weekly news magazine of the South Carolina Committee of the Methodist Church. His name will be included in the Second Edition of "Who's Who In the Methodist Church published by the Ablington Press of the Methodist Publishing House. Survivors include his widow; Mrs. Hattie Platt Camlin of Georgetown; two sons Richard Manning Camlin Jr of Georgetown and the Medical College of South Carolina, and Carl Edward Camlin of Georgetown; a daughter Mrs. Ruth Ann Camlin and Columbia College; five brothers C. M. Camlin of Florence, W. O. Camlin Jr and Luther Camlin both of Georgetown and William B Camlin of Acme NC; six sisters Mrs. R. J. Ferdon, Mrs. J. M. Moulton, and Mrs. Jack Smith, all of Georgetown, Mrs. O. W. Price of Florence, Mrs. Howard P. Dorn of Richmond Va; and Mrs. James E. Wiggins of Greenville and several nephews and nieces.
