B4 Friday, September 21, 2007 Obituaries RICHARD PAUL DEROSBY 1938 - 2007 WATERVILLE - Richard Paul Derosby, 69, of Waterville, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007 at Maine General Medical Center Thayer Unit. He was born Jan. 11, 1938 in Winslow, the son of Peter J. and Marie (Plusquellec) DeRosby. Richard was retired after 39 years of dedicated service at Keyes Fibre Company as a master electrician. Richard and his loving wife Rita lived in Ormond Beach, Fla. seasonally and enjoyed coming back home to Maine to their residence on Snow Pond Oak Island. There he enjoyed fishing and sharing special times with his family with him playing captain on his party boat listening to his favorite country music or oldies songs from the 1950s and 60s. He enjoyed time outside by the lakeside smoking his favorite cigar and watching his children and grandchildren swimming and playingand laughing around him. Richard always could tell a good joke and his infectuous laugh and robust personality usually captured the hearts of everyone around him. His wife Rita and family and grandchildren were his pride and joy and his heart would melt when the grandchildren would hug their Pepe. Richard and his wife Rita recently shared their 50th wedding anniversary on June 25, 2007. Together they opened the North Vassalboro Flea Market and enjoyed going to auctions and spending time just sitting out by his favorite birch tree enjoying an ice cold beverage proudly inspecting his labors of mowing his three acre lawn. There he would talk about fond memories and dreams of winning the Powerball. Richard appreciated the time spent with his sister Gladys and her family at the farm in Fairfield. Richard loved dancing whether it was a waltz or jitterbug with his wife Rita or holding the hands of his little granddaughters as they stood on his feet while he led the dance. He loved animals and has many special memories of Muffit, Whitney, Stewart and Portia. Along with his parents he was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters; Ambrose, Adelard, Noe Peter, Philip, Lucie Poulin, Bertha Bolduc, Evelyn Dennis and Anita Boucher.
