Read More	Richard Paul Kness was born to Walter Frederick Kness and Elsie Lillian Eichsedt on January 30, 1938 in Sutton, NE. He was one of two children in the family. He passed away June 30, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE at the age of 80. Richard was previously married and to this union with Nellie one child, Kimberly Kathleen, was born. He worked as a Utility Meter Reader until a disability forced him to quit working. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed the pastime of HAM radio operation. He introduced his mother to this hobby and she went on to relay emergency messages across the globe. She talked to people in China, Cuba and to many interesting people, such as King Hussein of Jordan. The last 7 years of his life Richard resided at Beaver City Manor in Beaver City, NE. He enjoyed a close relationship with his daughter, watching westerns, and playing Connect 4. He handled his declining health with dignity and will be missed by the residents and staff at Beaver City Manor. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jack; and his former wife. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly of Beaver City, NE. A private family graveside service was held on July 2, at the Grafton Cemetery. PMA Jim Germer officiated the service.
