C. Larkin of this city and Harley (Pud) Fox, who operates a farm seven miles west of Hillsboro on U. S. Route 60, were injured when their automobiles collided in front of Fox's farm residence Thursday morning. Larkin suffered a fractured right knee cap and Fox received chest injuries which are not believed to be serious. Larkin was removed to the office of his father, Dr. Larkin in Hillsboro in the D. M. Evans company ambulance. He later was removed to the Hillsboro Hospital. According to young Larkin, who was enroute to Cincinnati after having spent a few days at home with his parents; he was driving west on Route 50 at an approximate speed of 50 miles an hour when Fox, who was driving east, made a left turn across the road in the path of Larkin's car. Mr. Fox was attempting to turn into the driveway to his barn lot. Larkin's machine, a 1937 Buick convertible coupe, struck the right side of Fox's car, a 1937 Chevrolet Coupe, to the rear of the Chevrolet. The right front of the Buick was almost completely demolished and the right side of the Chevrolet was caved-in. The Buick was taken to the Richards & Morris garage for repairs. Mr. Larkin is employed by the Cincinnati Manufacturing Company. "The Press Gazette" Hillsboro, Ohio April 18, 1939 Larkin Improves Richard Larkin, son of Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Larkin of this city who is a patient at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, is resting about the same today, according to his father. His condition over the week-end and Monday was slightly improved over his condition of last week. He was removed from the Hillsboro Hospital to the Cincinnati Hospital when his condition became critical with an infection in his right knee. Larkin's kneecap was broken in an automobile accident on U. S. Route 50, March 30. H. Suydam, Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Sheffield, Taylor Stanley and son, Dickie. A. H. Shoenberger, John O'Hara, Miss Quinn and Mrs. Charles T. Greve of Cincinnati.
