Description	:	LINCOLN — Richard R. Todd, 88, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, in Lincoln. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home in Lincoln. Private burial will be in Elkhorn. He was born April 27, 1929, to Charles “Ralph” and Marcia (Riggs) Todd. Rich was a graduate of Millard High School. Todd, 88, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, in Lincoln. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home in Lincoln. Private burial will be in Elkhorn. He was born April 27, 1929, to Charles “Ralph” and Marcia (Riggs) Todd. Rich was a graduate of Millard High School. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he spent the next five years as a coach, math teacher and administrator at Omaha-Westside and Millard. He traveled western Nebraska for 32 years working for Jostens selling class rings and yearbooks to high schools. Most recently, he was a sergeant at arms at the Legislature for 10 years. Rich was a proud member of the Elks for 55 years and had a great love for ritual. During that time, he was a member of Kearney Elks Lodge 987 for 25 years. For several years in Kearney and Lincoln, he held offices both locally and at the state level in the B.P.O.E. He coached Lincoln ritual teams and won many outstanding awards. He was honored to judge the National Ritual Contest in Austin, Texas, in July 2012. He is survived by his loving partner of 30 years, Connie Moore; five children, Richard (Victoria), Julie, Joni (Gonzalo) Gallegos, Gregg (Florence) and Jeffrey; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; brother, Charles (Trudy) Todd; nieces and nephews; special family, Joan and Terry Hagan; and “adopted” grandsons, Alexander, Spencer and Phillip Hagan. He touched many lives and will be remembered by a great number of friends.
