He had been brought there from Chico hospital several weeks ago. Funeral services were held from Lowry's chapel Wednesday afternoon, Rev. E. E. Tollefson, Lutheran minister, in charge. Mr. Clark was born June 29, 1882, in Buffalo, N.Y. He lived in Minot, N. D., many years before coming to Montana, where he homesteaded at Wolf Point in 1910. He worked in the Northern Pacific shops at Livingston before coming to Grey Cliff. He had been coal dock foreman for a year and a half until he became ill last November from effects of the coal dust. His first wife died at Grey Cliff in 1923 and he married Mrs. Rosie Hughes in Livingston, June 2, 1925. He is survived by his wife and one son, Pfc LaVern Clark servicing with the U. S. Army somewhere in the Philippines; seven stepchildren- Raymon Hughes at home; Mrs. John Murphy and Lawrence Hughes Big Timber, Pvt Calvin Hughes, also somewhere in the Philippines; Mrs. W. M. McAdams of Billings; Mrs. Palmer Williams Everett, Wash., and Mrs. Al Huizenga, Minot, N. D.; nine granchildren several brothers and sisters in the east, and a daughter, Lorraine by the first marriage, living in New York. Contributor: Julia Kinsey (48922386) •
