Description	:	Ricky “Rick” D. Ellis, age 54, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer at the Life Care Center of Burlington, Kansas. Rick was born December 30, 1965 to Oliver “Bill” Ellis and Lois (Shepard) Ellis. He attended and then graduated from Crest High School. He worked as the supervisor for Anderson County Road and Bridge Department for more than twenty years. Rick also farmed in the evening along side Kendall McGhee for almost a decade. Ellis, age 54, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer at the Life Care Center of Burlington, Kansas. Rick was born December 30, 1965 to Oliver “Bill” Ellis and Lois (Shepard) Ellis. He attended and then graduated from Crest High School. Rick was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry Ellis and Randy Ellis; two sisters, Sheila Mann and Lesa Sherwood; and nephew, Terry Ellis. Rick is survived by four brothers, one sister, and numerous other family members and friends. A funeral service for Rick will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in The Chapel at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Iola, Kansas. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. Memorial contributions in honor of Rick are suggested to The Colony Rec Department to contribute to the new sports complex. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.feuerbornfuneral.com.
