Description	:	WATERVILLE - Rita D. (LaForest) Bourgoin went to be with her Lord on Friday Feb. 5, 2016 at age of 96. She was born Jan. 19, 1920 the only daughter of William & Sophronie LaForest of Killingly, Conn. Rita was married to Francis E. Bourgoin on August 4, 1945, until his death in 2005. Rita was a homemaker and employed at Coby College for many years. (LaForest) Bourgoin went to be with her Lord on Friday Feb. 5, 2016 at age of 96. She was born Jan. 19, 1920 the only daughter of William & Sophronie LaForest of Killingly, Conn. Rita was married to Francis E. Bourgoin on August 4, 1945, until his death in 2005. Rita was a homemaker and employed at Coby College for many years. She enjoyed going out to dinner at the Red Barn with her good friend Marion Kelly who was a great help after the death of Francis and was with her at the time of her passing. She is survived by her only brother, James LaForest and his wife Shirley of Essex N.Y.; one daughter Darlene Ames and husband, Donald of Bartlett, Tenn.: one grandchild, Renee Burwell of Hot Springs, Ark.; and great-granddaughters, Emma Ames of Bartlett, Tenn., and Miranda Presley of Arlington, Tenn. She was predeceased by her husband Francis E. Bourgoin in 2005, and her brothers Wilson, William, Robert and George Laforest. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Oak Grove Center for all the care given to Rita during her short stay there. Interment will be in the spring at Maine Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Augusta at which time a service will be conducted. Arrangement are under the care of Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.
