Lawrence L. McCarty officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Brennan, was born April 6, 1905, in Sioux City and graduated from Cathedral High School. She married Joseph J. Norton Sr. Nov. 29, 1929, in Detroit, Mich. She lived in Detroit for 20 years before returning to Sioux City. Mr. Norton died Dec. 20, 1979, in Sioux City. She was employed as a secretary for numerous Sioux City companies and retired from the Catholic Dioceses offices in 1970. Mrs. Norton was a former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and a present member of St. Michael's Church. Survivors include a son and his wife, Joseph J. Jr. and Sally Norton of Sioux City; two daughters, Margaret "Peggy" Norton of Sioux City and Mary and her husband, Don McCarthy of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two sisters, Maureen Moore and Winifred Sparrow, both of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Peter J. and Michael B. Norton; six brothers, John, Edward, Robert, Milton, Francis and Michael Brennan; and two sisters, Mary McNally and Gertrude Taggart.
