Description	:	The Lord’s caring and giving servant Rita Mary Kreimeyer Diemer was born July 1, 1936, and joined your angel army on March 29, 2019. Rita was the daughter of John R and Marion A (Van Eschen) Kreimeyer and was a loving mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She grew up on the home farm south of Geneva, Iowa and attended the Geneva Consolidated Schools graduating in 1954. Rita was the daughter of John R and Marion A (Van Eschen) Kreimeyer and was a loving mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She grew up on the home farm south of Geneva, Iowa and attended the Geneva Consolidated Schools graduating in 1954. Rita attended NIACC (North Iowa Area Community College) in Mason City receiving her LPN degree. Rita married Alfred L Diemer in 1954 and later divorced. To this union 4 children were born – Denise Rae, Marcia Ann, Steven John and Mark Alan. Rita was also briefly married to Marv Pandil. Rita worked at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa, beginning as a nurses aid and moving up to an Operating Room Tech retiring in 1998. Rita was a farm wife, growing fruits/vegetables and freezing/canning for her family. Rita was an accomplished musician and playing for her first wedding at age 13. She subsequently played for many weddings thereafter, numerous funerals, accompanying fellow students at school contests in high school and after retirement, playing for music group programs, and numerous church services. She also played clarinet while in High School and was first chair for many years which was an accomplishment she was very proud of. She also enjoyed playing for the church services while she was a resident in the nursing home. Rita traveled to Honduras in 1986 doing mission work. Survivors are her 4 children – Denise Diemer Green, Marcia Diemer Zimmer, Steven (Rhonda) Diemer and Mark Diemer; brother – Ronald J Kreimeyer; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren – Amy Green (David) Lester (Alec and Alison), Rebeccca Zimmer (Hailie D Charping, Braylen D Zimmer, Andrew Joshua (AJ) Zimmer); Tamara Zimmer, Briggs Shore and Jenna Shore (Harpyr Shore Meyer); 2 step children, 2 step grandchildren; and 3 step great grandchildren - Becky Pandil (Mark) Laipple (Heather Laipple (Mike) Holm; Logan); Amy Laipple (Vince) Danca; (Brooke and Aubrey Danca) and Terry Pandil. Preceding Rita were her parents – John R and Marion A (Van Eschen) Kreimeyer son-in-law Jeff Zimmer and many relatives and friends. On Sunday, April 7th, visitation will be at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 496 B Raven Ave, Geneva, Iowa, from 1 to 2:30 PM with the family present. Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM followed by a luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Peter’s UCC Mission Fund or Hospice of North Iowa, 232 Second Street, SE, Mason City, Iowa 50401. Final resting place is St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, Geneva, Iowa. The Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley is assisting the family.
