Logan, aged 77, occurred at his home at an early hour on Friday morning following a few days illness of pneumonia. A son of the late Robert A. and Mary Bryden Logan, he was born at Tatamagouche, Colchester County, where he spent his early youth. The death of Robert A. Logan, aged 77, occurred at his home at an early hour on Friday morning following a few days illness of pneumonia. A son of the late Robert A. and Mary Bryden Logan, he was born at Tatamagouche, Colchester County, where he spent his early youth. At the age of ninteen, Mr. Logan came to Lunenburg County and located at Dayspring where he was employed by Duffus and Company, lumber merchants. Moving to Bridgewater, a few years later, he opened a general store which he conducted under the firm name of R.A. Logan & Company. In religion Mr. Logan was a strong adherent of the United Church and in politics, a firm Liberal. He was a charter member of the Bridgewater Fire Company and one of its first captains. Surviving are his wife (Miss Gulie M. Kitchin), River John, Pictou County; three daughters and two sons: Mary (Mrs. H.A. Keown), Regina; Lila (Mrs. John McGoun), Westmount, P.Q.; Annie, New York; Harold, Morgan City, La.; and Robert B., Registrar of Deeds, Bridgewater, who resides at home. A son, William, was killed in the late war. Miss A. Logan, a sister, who for several years has made her home with her brother, also survives. The funeral was held from his late residence on Sunday afternoon at 3:30. Rev. W.K. Read, pastor of St. John's United Church, of which the deceased was a member, officiated at the service.
