The deceased was born February 27, 1876 at Winnetoon, Nebraska, where he was also received into the Holy Christian Church by the rite of Holy Baptism. The deceased was born February 27, 1876 at Winnetoon, Nebraska, where he was also received into the Holy Christian Church by the rite of Holy Baptism. He was confirmed on April 14, 1889 at Zion Lutheran church in Plainview, Nebraska. On February 14, 1901 at the age of twenty five years, he was married to Minnie Winter at Norfolk, Nebraska. To this union four children were born, two sons and two daughters of whom one daughter, Emma, 2 years old, preceded him in death, passing away May 8, 1907. Mr. Schuett had always been quite well until about a week prior to his death. He began to feel much worse last Saturday evening and became unconscious Sunday morning from which coma he did not again revive. At the time of his death he was 57 years and 8 days of age. There have been few more industrious, more successful and more contended citizens than Mr. Schuett, is the testimony bestowed upon him by all who knew him in his life as a good man, a useful citizen, whose name the records of Knox county will always delight to mention. He rejoiced also to see others prosper and did his share to advance the lawful interest of our county. His conversation was of a strictly moral and becoming nature. He would not sacrifice the principles of truth and honor for the sake of sinful gain and pleasure. He was an esteemed brother in the church and a member of good standing which fact is moreover strengthened in that he was treasurer of Christ Lutheran's congregation at Bazile Mills for eighteen years. And as he was a dutiful church member, so he also conducted himself as a devout Christian with his family and in his daily walk, he with his wife, lived a life of beautiful harmony, happiness and prosperity. They experienced the blessing of the Lord also in other manifold ways, so also in this so very important one, that all the children are with the church and willing to follow in the footsteps of their sainted Father. Thus he kept the faith, the true and apostolic faith, which was the secret of his exemplary life. Moreover he died in this faith. He died last Sunday evening, March 5, at 5:45, death being caused by hemorrhage of the brain. The funeral will be conducted Wednesday afternoon by his pastor, Rev. H. Stegemann, services being held at 1:30 from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Lutheran church at Bazile Mills. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, three children, Mrs. Paul Kumm, Winnetoon, Reuben and Hilmer at home, one grandson, his aged father, August Schuett, one brother, William Schuett and a host of other relatives and friends. ...The Creighton News 9 March 1933 -------------------------
