Robert Allen Olson was born to Olaf and Caroline Olson at Butte, Nebr., on June 24, 1911. He died at his home in Spencer, Nebr., on February 19, 1975 at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 25 days. Robert served 3. years in the Air Force, April 25, 1942 to December 31, 1945 in World War II. After his discharge from service, Robert was a rural mail carrier for over 25 years in the Spencer, Anoka, Bristow area, having retired in June of 1974. Robert was united in marriage to Eugena Elizabeth (Ahlstrand)Blegen of Herrick on March 1, 1956. Eugena died on March 2, 1960. On August 24, 1963, he was united in marriage to Myrtle Marie Shippen of Norfolk, Nebr., at Butte, Nebr. Robert. Was baptized on the 23 day of May, 1925 in Anoka at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church by Pastor J. V. Carlson and was confirmed at the same church on August. 8, 1926 by Pastor Carlson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Raymond; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Anderson and Mrs. Myrtle Anderson. Survivors include his wife Myrtle, a step daughter, Letha Shippen, a twin brother Roy, a step-daughter Lois Dargeloh, husband and son Dan of Milford, Nebr.; a step son Lawrence Shippen and family of Friends.
