Description	:	Robert A. Bauer, 70, 715 2nd Ave. NW, Kenmare, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, in New Town, ND of natural causes. He was born December 11, 1931, in Kenmare, ND, the son of Wendel and Jessie (Landis) Bauer. He was raised and educated in Kenmare. Over the years he worked at various jobs, including Ankenbauer Coal Mine, Farmers Union Lumber, Farmers Union Oil, and various construction companys in the area before moving to the farm that his great grandparents homesteaded. Bauer, 70, 715 2nd Ave. NW, Kenmare, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, in New Town, ND of natural causes. He was born December 11, 1931, in Kenmare, ND, the son of Wendel and Jessie (Landis) Bauer. He was raised and educated in Kenmare. Over the years he worked at various jobs, including Ankenbauer Coal Mine, Farmers Union Lumber, Farmers Union Oil, and various construction companys in the area before moving to the farm that his great grandparents homesteaded. On April 14, 1953 he married Dorothy Jensen in Kenmare. Robert and Dorothy continued to farm until his retirement in 1998. After his retirement he helped local farmers and resided on the farmstead until moving into Kenmare in January of 2001. Robert was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare. He served on the church council, the Holy Name Society, and was active with the church choir. He also served on the Kenmare Township board. Robert enjoyed farming, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Dorothy of Kenmare; son, Jerome Bauer and his wife Teresa of Beulah, ND; daughters, Connie Gregoire and her husband Ed of Minot, and Sherrie Hennix and her husband Kirk, of Kenmare; 9 grandchildren, Mac, Marty, Mindy and Mitchell Haskins, Michael Gregoire, Jesse and Cody Bauer, Travis and Nathan Hennix; brother, Alan Bauer and his wife Sally of Kenmare; sisters, Arlene Zaremski of Great Falls, MT, and Jeannice Caroline and her husband Francis of San Antonio, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Terry Haskins, Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare with Father Frank Schuster as Celebrant. Dorothy Placek will be vocalist and Maureen Munch the pianist. Active Pallbearers will be Robert's grandchildren, Mac Marty, Mindy and Mitchell Haskins, Michael Gregoire, Jesse and Cody Bauer, and Travis and Nathan Hennix. Interment will be in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery with Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. A Rosary Recitation will be Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at St. Agnes Church. From The Minot Daily News.
