Dorothy Jane Jensen was born on October 21, 1932, the daughter of Martin and Olga (Jensen) Jensen, on the Jensen family farm in Rockford Township, Renville County, North Dakota, near Norma, ND. The family attended the Zion Danish Lutheran Church in Rockford Township where she was baptized and affirmed her Christian faith after confirmation studies. Dorothy Jane Jensen was born on October 21, 1932, the daughter of Martin and Olga (Jensen) Jensen, on the Jensen family farm in Rockford Township, Renville County, North Dakota, near Norma, ND. The family attended the Zion Danish Lutheran Church in Rockford Township where she was baptized and affirmed her Christian faith after confirmation studies. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Kenmare High School in 1950. Dorothy married Robert Bauer on April 14, 1953 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kenmare. They lived on the family farm until moving to Kenmare in 2001. Robert passed away March 16, 2002. Dorothy moved to Edgewood Village of Bismarck in 2011. Dorothy was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Kenmare. She was also a member of the St. Agnes Altar Society. Dorothy enjoyed puzzles, playing cards, bingo, knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandma Dot was best known for her homemade chocolate cupcakes with caramel frosting and molasses cookies. Surviving family includes: Children, Jerome (Teresa) Bauer, Bismarck, Connie (Ed) Gregoire, Bismarck and Sherrie (Kirk) Hennix, Kenmare; grandchildren, Mac Haskins, Marty (Kelly) Haskins, Mindy Haskins (Jason Young), Mitchell (Katie) Haskins, Michael (Cristina) Gregoire, Jesse Bauer, Cody Bauer, Travis (Tia) Hennix and Nathan Hennix (Kristen Johnson); and great-grandchildren, Arion Bauer, Crew Hennix, Taylor Hennix, Brekka Hennix, Piper Haskins, Jason Young, Jr., Francesca Young, Gabriel Young, Sophia Haskins, Camdyn Haskins, Baylee Fisher and Lucy Gregoire. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son-in-law, Terry; great-grandson, Parker; infant brother, LaVern; brothers, Donovan and Duane; and sisters-in-law, Vallie and Aurice. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, June 17, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare, ND. Inurnment: St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare, ND.
