Bob was a 1963 graduate of Walnut High School and in 1967 graduated from Northwest Missouri State College with a degree in Agri-Business. Read More	Robert "Bob" Jacobsen, son of Melvin and Wanda Rieck Jacobsen, was born March 7, 1945, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Bob passed away November 25, 1999, at the age of 54 years. Bob was a 1963 graduate of Walnut High School and in 1967 graduated from Northwest Missouri State College with a degree in Agri-Business. On June 2, 1967, he was united in marriage to Linda Sue Prior in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Bob spent his entire life working in the farm-related industry. He owned and operated Edler Implement since 1985. He was involved in the Tipton community activities including being a 4-H Leader, an officer of the Cedar County Cattlemen, past TEDCO officier, Chamber of Commerce member, FFA supporter and Elder of the United Church of Christ. His favorite pastime was spending time at his farm with his Angus cattle. Bob is survived by his wife, Linda Jacobsen of Tipton, Iowa; a daughter Nicole (Dennis) Amberson ; his sons, Brandon and Dustin Jacobsen; one grandson, Griffin Robert Amberson; his mother, Wanda Jacobsen; his sisters, Sally (Ron) Engels and Judy (Jim) Wurster; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Jacobsen in 1987. Bob also leaves a large extended family, many dear friends and very loyal employees all of which he would not have survived the last 10 years without. Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM Monday, November 29, 1999 at the United Church of Christ - Tipton, Iowa with David Lorenzen officiating. Organist: Nancy Hipple. Casket Bearers: Larry Glick, Phillip Hargrave, Robert Harmel, Wally Cawiezell, Jim clark, Dale Torpey. Honorary Casket Bearers: Kenny Chambers, Lyle Cain, James Wurster, Edward Edler, Ronald Engels, Melvin Thiering, Dale Hawkins, Gary Eichhorn. Interment: Masonic Cemetery - Tipton, Iowa. Fry Funeral Home November 1999.
