Description	:	Robert C. Stewardson was born near Odebolt, Iowa, on April 7, 1879 and died at his home in Arthur, October 13, 1953. He was the son of John and Martha Stewardson. He was married September 1, 1901 to Mae Cressey, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Cressey. They made their home in Texas for five years, returning to Arthur in 1906. Stewardson was born near Odebolt, Iowa, on April 7, 1879 and died at his home in Arthur, October 13, 1953. He was the son of John and Martha Stewardson. He was married September 1, 1901 to Mae Cressey, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Cressey. They made their home in Texas for five years, returning to Arthur in 1906. When the farmer's elevator was organized he became the manager and continued there forty-two years. He was a member of the Masonic lodge of Arthur, the Chapter and Commandery at Ida Grove and the Shrine and Consistory at Sioux City. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Friday, Oct. 16 at 2 o'clock with the Rev. S.T. Fitch officiating. Music was by Mrs. Norman Forsberg and Mrs. William Seney at the organ. Burial was at the Odebolt cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside. Bearers were Ed England, John Carlson, George Dunlap, Albert Briese, Charles Anderson and Duane English. Survivors are the widow, two nieces and two nephews of Denver, Colo. and a host of friends. Relatives attending from a distance were R.E. Stewardson of Denver, Colo., Mrs. William Peace of Scottsbluff, Neb. Mrs. H.P Benedict, Spokane, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Christiansen of Beresford, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Steijes, Sioux City,Mrs. Mable Irwin, Sac City; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Goreham, Mr. and Mrs. Edson Goreham, Mrs. Ed Swaller and family of Odebolt, and many friends from out to town.
