Description	:	Robert Carl Albrecht was born April 8, 1900, in Buffalo County, north of Amherst, the son of William Albrecht and his wife, Caroline, nee Bauer. He was placed into the arms of Jesus through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism in Immanuel Lutheran Church, north of Amherst, May 20th of that same year. After thorough instructions in the principal teachings of the Christian religion as held by the Lutheran Church, he was received into communicant membership of Immanuel Lutheran Church, through the Rite of Confirmation, on May 31, 1914. Read More	Robert Carl Albrecht was born April 8, 1900, in Buffalo County, north of Amherst, the son of William Albrecht and his wife, Caroline, nee Bauer. He was placed into the arms of Jesus through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism in Immanuel Lutheran Church, north of Amherst, May 20th of that same year. After thorough instructions in the principal teachings of the Christian religion as held by the Lutheran Church, he was received into communicant membership of Immanuel Lutheran Church, through the Rite of Confirmation, on May 31, 1914. He was joined in Holy wedlock to Miss Elva Stevens on November 19, 1927, and to this union, three children were born. Mr. Albrecht farmed in the north Amherst-Miller area all of his life, until 1955 when, together with his wife and son LaVern, moved to Kearney. Since then he has been employed by the city of Kearney at the Kearney Cemetery. He entered the hospital a week ago yesterday (Monday, February 27 for observation and care resulting from what was considered a case of flu. However, he became critically ill Wednesday morning and never rallied in spite of the care and concern given to him by the nurses and doctors. It pleased the Lord to summon him out of this life in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 4th, at the age of 60 years, and 11 months. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Kearney at the time of his death, having attended Lenten services the Wednesday evening before being admitted to the hospital. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Elva; his three children, Evelyn and her husband, Tommy Olsen, and their children, Terry, Timothy and Tracy; Kenneth and his wife Vaughn and their children, Michael and Vicki; and LaVern and his wife Connie. Also, two brothers, William of Elm Creek and Raymond of Gibbon, and three sisters, Christina Yohn of Mason City, Gertrude Liehs of Lexington, and Esther Nielsen of Grand Island. He was preceded in death by one sister, Amelia Yohn, in addition to his parents. His mortal remains were laid to rest in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, north of Amherst, after the service in Zion Lutheran Church, Kearney, conducted by his pastor, the Rev. Max E. Heinz, Tuesday, March 7th. There he will await the resurrection of the living and the dead on Judgment Day.
