Born in McCormick County, February 2, 1937, he was a son of the late Robert Carl, Sr. and Edna Edwards Young. Read More	BOBBY YOUNG Robert Carl "Bobby" Young, Jr., resident of 3705 Greenwood Highway, widower of Jacqueline Lewis "Jackie" Young died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in McCormick County, February 2, 1937, he was a son of the late Robert Carl, Sr. and Edna Edwards Young. Mr. Young was retired after more than thirty years of service from the US Army National Guard, where he obtained the rank of Master Sergeant. He also later retired from the Clarks Hill Training Site. Mr. Young was a member of the Lower Long Cane Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church where he formerly served as an Elder. Survivors include a daughter, Renee Young; son, Robert C. Young, III and wife, Kaurie, all of Bradley; four grandchildren, Brooke Young Simpson and husband, Chris of Greenwood, Kayla E. Young, Robert C. "Rob" Young, IV and Karis A. Young, all of Bradley; two great-grandchildren, Kinsey B. Young and Kace C. Simpson, both of Greenwood; and a sister, Pauline Y. Bell of Washington, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Lower Long Cane Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Reverend Mike Horne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted Walker, Curtis Walker, Joseph Holley, Keith Gary, Al Dansby, Will Young, Jamie Peeler and Troy Young. Honorary escort will be Elders of Lower Long Cane Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. The family is at the home and will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 6-8PM.
