He was a member of the Concordia Wesleyan Church, lifetime member of American Legion Post #76 & VFW Post #588. He is survived by his wife, Roberta, Concordia; sons, Robert “Bob” Champlin (Nadine), Sabetha, Robin Champlin (Teresa), Reese Champlin (Gina) & Lance Champlin (Linda) all of Concordia; brothers, Dr. Bruce Champlin (Margie), Surprise, AZ, Ron Champlin (Judy), Concordia & Keith Christensen (Jane), Salina & step-brother, Damon Christensen (Laura), Concordia; grandchildren & great grandchildren; Heidi Kutscher (Tracy) & Kylee & Kolby Kutscher; Jeffrey Champlin (Jamie) & Charlotte & William Champlin; Jace Champlin (Megan) & Riley & McKenzie Chapmlin; Derek Champlin (Lacey); Dana Sandmann (Derek) & Hayden & Chase Sandmann; Kara Champlin & Wyatt Widen; Paige Mortimer (Ryan); Shane Champlin; Trae & Bailey Champlin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Champlin (Pauline) & Mildred Christensen (Chris); daughter, Pamela; grandson, Joshua; sister, Ivona Kemp & step-brother, Loren Christensen; Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thurs., July 21, 2016 at Concordia Wesleyan Church with Rev. David Redmond & Pastor Bob Burns officiating. Burial with Military Honors by American Legion Post #76, VFW Post #588 & the U.S. Navy will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Visitation will be at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home from 10 am to 9 pm, Wed., July 20, 2016 with family greeting friends from 6-8 pm. The family suggests memorials to Concordia Wesleyan Church or the Family’s Choice in care of the funeral home. (Salina Post)
