Robert Clark Watts was born September 28, 1930 in Taylor County, Iowa to Verne C. Watts and Alice (Starks) Watts. He grew up on the farm in the Villisca area and graduated from Villisca High School. Robert Clark Watts was born September 28, 1930 in Taylor County, Iowa to Verne C. Watts and Alice (Starks) Watts. He grew up on the farm in the Villisca area and graduated from Villisca High School. Bob continued his education at Iowa State University at Ames receiving his Bachelor's degree. He was the president of his college Fraternity, Delta Sigma: Phi. On September 8, 1953, Bob was united in marriage to Joan Fast at the United Methodist Church in Villisca. They were blessed with two children, Bob, Jr. and Julie. Bob was a life long farmer and farming was his passion. He took pride in his farm and enjoyed his cow/calf operation. Bob's family was very important to him and he enjoyed being with his wife of fifty nine years and his children and grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking. Bob loved to golf and golfing with his friends in the Wobblies and could be found practicing in his free time. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Villisca. Preceding Bob in death were his parents; brother, Russell Watts; sister, Virginia Mathew; great grandson, Tristen Noll; and sister-in-law, Imogene Watts. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joan Watts of Villisca; son, Bob Watts of Clarinda, Iowa; daughter, Julie Bramble and husband John of Clarinda, Iowa; grandchildren, Misty Watts, Tonya Noll, B.J. Watts, Brooke Campbell; great grandchildren, Traden Noll, Bronc Noll, Breeanna Ritter; goddaughter, Emily Soll; brothers, Howard Watts of Branson, Missouri;; Virgil Watts and wife Katie of Rock Port, Missouri; nieces; nephews and many friends. Bob will be missed by his loving wife, children and many friends. He will be forever in their hearts. May God grant comfort and peace to those who mourn his passing.
