Robert Dean Lemkau, the son of Frank and Mary (Hoppens) Lemkau, was born July 2, 1929 in Hastings, Nebraska. He graduated from in 1946 from Clay Center High School in Clay Center, Nebraska. Robert Dean Lemkau, the son of Frank and Mary (Hoppens) Lemkau, was born July 2, 1929 in Hastings, Nebraska. He graduated from in 1946 from Clay Center High School in Clay Center, Nebraska. On November 23, 1950, Robert was united in marriage to Elizabeth Griess. After their marriage the couple made their first home in Sutton before moving to Hebron, Nebraska in 1951. Bob worked for the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Company. In 1959, he and his family moved to Beatice, Nebraska were Bob retired in 1991 from L.T.&T. after 41 years. Bob and Elizabeth later moved to Fort Dodge so they could be closer to family. Bob was an active member of the Masons and a past member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; their two children Patty (LeRoy) Dies of Castle Rock, Colorado and Tim Lemkau of Fort Dodge; three grandchildren, AJ Dies, Amber (Ryne) Young and Kurt (Val) Lemkau; his brothers and sisters, Irene Kruitzfield, Ken Lemkau, Mary Lou Swanson and Dean Lemkau. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Sharon and three brothers, Dale, Lyle and Jerry. Services for Robert will be held at a later date in Sutton, Nebraska.
