Description	:	BANGOR - Robert E. Andrews, a prominent Bangor barber, lost his yearlong battle with mesothelioma, Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1940, in Belfast, the third child of the late Abbie Black Sennett and Florian Andrews Sr. Bob attended schools in Searsport, graduating from Searsport High School in 1958. He actively participated in all sports during his high school days. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, 1958-1962. He was born Feb. 8, 1940, in Belfast, the third child of the late Abbie Black Sennett and Florian Andrews Sr. Bob attended schools in Searsport, graduating from Searsport High School in 1958. He actively participated in all sports during his high school days. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, 1958-1962. After his discharge from the U.S. Air Force, he enrolled in Hanson's Barber School, Lewiston. He became an established barber in Bangor in 1963 and continued his career for the next 47 years. Bob was predeceased by his parents; brother, Clayton; and his first wife, Carol A. Andrews, in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Andrews of Bangor; son, Robert E. Andrews II and wife, Ellen, of Sheboygan, Wis., and their children, Matthew, Lauren and Erin; a daughter, Jennifer Rancourt and husband, Kevin, of Turner, and their children, Rebecca and Benjamin; a stepson, Christopher E. Black of Bangor; a twin sister, Rebecca Mohr of Searsport; brother, Florian Andrews Jr. of Belfast; brothers-in-law, Richard Nickerson, Donald Coffin, John, Reginald and Philip Faulkner; sister-in-law, Joan Farrell; several nieces and nephews.
