Description	:	Funeral services for Robert E. Geisler, 64, of Creighton were held March 29, 1997 at the Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton. Reverend Kenneth Purscell officiated with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Warren Wortman, Rick Wilmes, Roger Hale, Keith Wortman, Robert Forbes and Darrel Kahny. He died Wednesday, March 26, 1997 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton at the age of sixty four years. Robert Emil Geisler was born February 23, 1933 at Norfolk to Emil and Edna (Hubbard) Geisler. In 1944 he moved with his family to a farm southeast of Creighton. He graduated from Creighton High School in 1951. He entered the U.S. Army in 1953 and after his discharge he worked for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. He farmed until 1978 and then moved to Creighton, where he worked at the S & S Store. He retired in 1993 due to failing health. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1151 of Creighton. Survivors include two sisters, Irene Sanders and Sharon Schultz, both of Grand Island; two nieces, three nephews and great nieces and nephews.
