Description	:	Robert Edwin Boeck (1918 - 2001) Robert "Bob" Edwin Boeck was born on January 7, 1918, the son of Herman W. and Minnie A. (Blunk) Boeck. He died on August 17, 2001 at age eighty-three on his family century farm where he was born, and raised. He died on August 17, 2001 at age eighty-three on his family century farm where he was born, and raised. He received his education at East Boyer #8 country school and graduated from Denison High School in 1935. On September 10, 1940, Bob was united in marriage to Virginia Mae Mesenbrink in LeMars, Iowa. The couple settled on the farm and was blessed with the birth of a daughter and four sons. In addition to farming Bob also pursued a business in refrigeration in the local area. Bob's passion for farming continued up until his death. In his spare time Bob enjoyed hobbies of fishing, hunting, boating and billiards. Bob and his wife, Virginia enjoyed motorcycling especially to Sturgis, South Dakota. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Virginia and four brothers. Those who remain to cherish his memory include his children Donna Taylor of Omaha; David and Charlotte Boeck of Manilla; Charles and Joan Boeck; Ross Boeck; Robert H. Boeck; all of Denison; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Kracht of Denison and three sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 26, 2001 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, Iowa. Rev. Kurt Kaiser and Rev. David Sewing officiated the service and grave side rites held at the Crawford Heights Memory Gardens in Denison. Jeanette Venzke provided the organ accompaniment for soloist, Carissa Rosonke singing "Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound" and congregational hymn "On Eagle's Wings" and "Just as I Am, Without One Plea". Honorary pallbearers were Denise Holloway, Heather Conway, Lynne Camacho, Carissa Rosonke, Jennifer Hansen, Sharon Hansen, Douglas Hansen, Linette Brower, Cary Thomsen, Chris Hansen, Nikitta Fuoss and Jody Brower. Pallbearers were Christopher Boeck, Kenneth Holloway, Matthew Boeck, Jimmie Conway, Peter Rosonke and Ryan Boeck. The family invited everyone in attendance at the service to return to the church and join them in fellowship and lunch, served by the Dorcas Society. The Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of arrangements.
