Three weeks prior to his death he had gone to visit his sister Ruth at Stinson Beach, Calif. Robert was preceded in death by his mother and his brother William, who died in infancy. He is survived by four brothers, all in the service of the country: Leonard and Fred in the navy, Lee in the marines, and Leland in the coast guard; seven sisters, Vivian and Eva and Mrs. Virginia Johnson of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Lily Foust of Des MoInes, Mrs. Hazel Dietz of Norwalk, Mrs. Helen Anderson of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ruth of Stinson Beach; 10 nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends. Funeral services were held at the Spring Hill Methodist church Monday, June 26, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Collins D. Pinkard and the Rev. Dr. A.N. Simpson in charge. Burial was in a nearby cemetery.
