Description	:	Greeley resident, 75 GREELEY - Robert Eugene "Gene" Dulitz, 75, of Greeley died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at his home. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greeley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Delano Cunningham officiating. Burial of cremains will be at Greeley Cemetery with military honors by Charles E. Martin Post 186 of Greeley. T.J. Finn and Sons Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. He was born April 5, 1937, in Scotia to Lowell and Anna (Jensen) Dulitz. On Sept. 18, 1965, he married Delores "LeeAnn" Berryman in Greeley. She died Oct. 22, 1999. Survivors include his daughters, Kendra Washington and her husband, James, of Grand Island and Kiffany Conner and her husband, Dave, of Kearney; seven grandchildren; brother, Jerry Dulitz and his wife, Nancy, of Kearney; and sister, Norma Oliver of California. He was raised in Scotia where he received his education and graduated from Scotia High School in 1955. Gene served in the U.S. Navy for three years. After his discharge, he returned to the Scotia area and drove a truck for his father. He and his wife made their home in Greeley. Gene continued to drive a truck for himself, Delicious Foods and various other trucking companies. He also drove a gravel truck for Greeley County before retiring in 2003. Gene continued to make his home in Greeley until his death. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1347 of Grand Island and Greeley United Methodist Church. Gene enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors, watching Westerns and visiting. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Dulitz; and a nephew, Eric Dulitz.
