Description	:	Robert F. McWilliams, 90, of Conrad, IA, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015, at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in Conrad. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens following the luncheon at the church. The Conrad Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the arrangements. Robert was born March 14, 1924 in Marshall County, IA, to Thomas and Martha (Hodges) McWilliams. He attended school in Green Mountain and Clemons, and then graduated from Conrad High School in 1943. Robert was united in marriage to Bertha Stubbs on October 1, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. After graduation, he started farming with his father northwest of Conrad. After marrying Bertha they continued farming there, later purchasing a farm and living in the Green Mountain area, where they farmed until his health would no longer allow it. Robert was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Conrad, being very active in the church. He was a member of the Mariners’ class, served on the session, and was clerk for several years. He enjoyed playing dominos, board games, and watching basketball and baseball games. He dearly loved children and enjoyed playing with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also very interested in antique tractors. Robert is survived by his five children: Dorothy (Keith) Sheller of rural Eldora, Shirley (Terry) Winders of Garwin, David (Carla) McWilliams of Marshalltown, Donna (Tom) Martin of Kensett, IA, and Tom (Janet) McWilliams of Marshalltown; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Velma Sheller of Marshalltown and Marilyn (Richard) Culley of Westminster, CA and sister-in-law Betty McWilliams of Merriam Woods, MO. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha, his parents, his brother, Wilbur McWilliams, and a sister, Hazel Nason.
