He was born Nov. 22, 1929, at Unadilla, son of Herman and Ruby Mae (West) Stoner. He married Delores Moss of Burr in 1954. He was born Nov. 22, 1929, at Unadilla, son of Herman and Ruby Mae (West) Stoner. He married Delores Moss of Burr in 1954. After he graduated from high school, Stoner studied accounting at Lincoln School of Commerce. He worked at Central Telephone and Gas more than 35 years. Stoner served during the Korean conflict and received an honorable discharge. He was an incredibly gentle and devoted husband and father. Stoner was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. He enjoyed traveling with his family, golf, reading and watching the Suns play. Hobbies took a distant second place to his wife, children and faith. Stoner had a dry sense of humor, soft-spoken grace and his ability to make virtually anyone laugh and smile. Surviving are his wife, Dee; son, Rob; grandson, Stefon; brothers, William and Lyle; sisters, Berdine West, Louis Ebert and Eula Seybert; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents; brothers, Earl, Harvey and Harland and a daughter, Amy. Services were Friday, Feb. 8, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Mesa, Ariz. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Peter Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society. Melcher Mission Chapel, Mesa, Ariz., was in charge of arrangements.
