Description	:	Robert Fast, age 76, of Yale, SD, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Robert Fast, the son of David and Lydia (Stahl) Fast, was born on January 8, 1938 in Mora, MN where he attended school. Read More	Robert Fast, age 76, of Yale, SD, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the Huron Regional Medical Center. Robert Fast, the son of David and Lydia (Stahl) Fast, was born on January 8, 1938 in Mora, MN where he attended school. On June 15, 1960 Robert married Myrna Kay Wattier, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bristol, SD. The couple lived on a farm near Iroquois until 1969. In 1970 they moved to a farm near Yale which they owned and operated until moving into Yale in 1998. Robert was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Yale CO-OP for many years. Robert enjoyed playing cards, Joker Poker, fishing and watching old Westerns. Robert loved living on the farm and had daily visits ot play cards and have coffee with friends. Robert had many special pets over the years, especially Muffy and Penny. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Myrna in 2012; infant brother, Jimmy; two brothers, Wesley and Benny; two sisters, Burnice Fast and Ethel Hofer; and a son-in-law, Brian Kvernevig. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Huron, with burial at St. Patrick Cemetery in Cavour, SD. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, September 14, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron; or one hour prior to the service at the Church on Monday. Robert Gene Fast, 76, of Yale, was driving a 2013 Dodge Ram K1500 pickup truck.
