Services are pending... Services are entrusted to O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services. Bob was born September 15, 1928 in Gibbon, Nebraska to Gage and Mabel (Marks) Vohland. He was raised in Gibbon and was a graduate of Gibbon High School. On June 1, 1948, Bob was united in marriage to Evelyn Halkyard in Taos, New Mexico. The couple made their home in Gibbon. Bob was employed on the family farm and served as the caretaker of Riverside Cemetery for many years. He was a longtime Bus Driver for Gibbon Public School. He was member of the A.F. & A.M., Eastern Star, Sons of the American Revolution. Bob was an EMT instructor for many communities in the area and was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Kearney. He was involved in Scouting and was a 33-year member of the Gibbon Fire Department. Bob enjoyed camping, working with dogs and traveling with his family. He loved his family very much and was very proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cindy Crouch and husband, Bob of St. Paul; daughter-in-law, Vicki Vohland of Kearney; grandchildren, Susan (Vohland) Grove and husband, Dave, Michelle (Crouch) Padrnos and husband, Todd, Katherine (Vohland) Hoagstrom and husband, Cory, Stephanie (Crouch) Kounovsky and husband, Jason, Matthew Crouch and wife, Lanaya, Michael Vohland, Heather (Crouch) Placzek and husband, Chase, Megan (Crouch) Wiles and husband, Wade; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Joan Hemmerling of Gibbon, and Jane Olson of Kearney; sister-in-law, Mrytle Halkyard of Gibbon; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Vohland; son, Rich Vohland; sister, Donna Rose Vohland; brothers-in-law, Donald Halkyard, DeWayne Hemmerling and Norris Olson.
