Description	:	Robert Hamlin, 77, Died Saturday at 2:25 a.m. At Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, where he had been since Feb. 6. He was born July 9, 1896 at Harrison, Neb., to Nathaniel D. and Elva Crane Hamlin. He married Gladys May Berry on Sept. 25, 1921 at Villisca, and had lived in Bonaparte since 1937. He was owner-operator of Hamlin Brothers Coal Co., and was a member of Bonaparte United Methodist Church where he had held several offices. He was born July 9, 1896 at Harrison, Neb., to Nathaniel D. and Elva Crane Hamlin. He married Gladys May Berry on Sept. 25, 1921 at Villisca, and had lived in Bonaparte since 1937. He was owner-operator of Hamlin Brothers Coal Co., and was a member of Bonaparte United Methodist Church where he had held several offices. A World War I veteran, he was a member of the American Legion and was post commander several times. He was a member of the national Rifle Association, a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge 73, Van Buren County Lapidary Society, past president of the school board, and was on the town council for many years. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert Dodder of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Cecil and Douglas, both of Chillicothe, Mo.; five sisters, Mrs. Maude Kreamer, Mrs. Claire McAnnich, Mrs. Carl Hensley and Mrs. Delphine Carder, all of Exira, and Mrs. Edith Newland of Belle Plaine; and four granddaughters. His wife died in 1973. Three brothers and an infant son and daughter also preceded him in death. The service was held today at Bonaparte Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Edward Maus and the Rev. Galen Pecklam officiating. Burial was in Bonaparte Cemetery. Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
