Description	:	HANK ADAMS Clay Center Dispatch March 9, 2011 CLAY CENTER-- Hank Adams, 75, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan. Mr. Adams was born July 19, 1935 in Clay County, the son of Robert W. and Neddy (Schmale) Adams. He grew up in Clay County. He married Darlene Shadle on July 14, 1957. He worked for the Clay Center Co-op for 31 years and then at Fullington's Lumber until his retirement. He was preceded in death by one sister. Mr. Adams was born July 19, 1935 in Clay County, the son of Robert W. and Neddy (Schmale) Adams. He grew up in Clay County. He married Darlene Shadle on July 14, 1957. He worked for the Clay Center Co-op for 31 years and then at Fullington's Lumber until his retirement. He was preceded in death by one sister. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Adams, of the home at Clay Center; two sons, Doug Adams and wife Patti of Clay Center and Lonnie Adams and wife Teia of Green; one daughter, LeAnn Adams of Clay Center; two sisters, Lois Asp of Green and Wava Peterson and husband Arlo of Leonardville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12 at the First Baptist Church, Clay Center, with the Rev. Matthew Coleman officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Hank Adams Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home, 918 7th St., Clay Center, KS 67432.
