Description	:	Robert J. Farr Jr. Robert, (Bob) Farr Jr. was born Feb. 17, 1926, in Ripley, Oklahoma and died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at Birchwood Manor in North Bend. His parents were Robert and Bertha (Jerome) Farr. His family moved to Hooper, Nebraska and he was a 1944 graduate of Hooper High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II and served from 1944-46. He attended the University of Houston for two years. Farr Jr. Robert, (Bob) Farr Jr. was born Feb. 17, 1926, in Ripley, Oklahoma and died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at Birchwood Manor in North Bend. His parents were Robert and Bertha (Jerome) Farr. His family moved to Hooper, Nebraska and he was a 1944 graduate of Hooper High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II and served from 1944-46. He attended the University of Houston for two years. He began work in the petroleum industry for domestic oil well drilling contractors at Santa Fe, New Mexico, untill 1958 when he became employed by Eastman Whipstock, an international drilling contractor. His work took him all over the world. He lived in England from 1968-75, when he moved to Stavanger, Norway. He returned to Houston in 1977 and was involved with drilling relief wells to kill well blowouts and fires. He was appointed Latin American Division Manager in 1982 and retired in 1986. Since then he had lived in Fremont, Nebraska and wintered in the Rio Grande Valley at Pharr, Texas. He married Patsy Jo Emmons on Dec. 16, 1952 in Snyder, Texas. She died June 20, 1966. He was a member of American Legion Post 158 at Cedar Bluffs and Voiture 1018 of 40 & 8 in Fremont, Nebraska. He was a avid golfer. Survivors include: a son, Robert D. Farr of Meraux, La.; a brother, Edward (and wife, Rose) Farr of Fremont, Neb; and two neices, Mellody (Mrs. Mike) Fairbanks of Blair, Neb., and Edie ( Mrs. Randy) Kavan of Cedar Bluffs.
