Mr. Morrison had been in poor health for a long time, his nervous system having given away several years ago and death came only to relieve his sufferings. The deceased was fifty-nine years of age. Mr. Morrison had been in poor health for a long time, his nervous system having given away several years ago and death came only to relieve his sufferings. The deceased was fifty-nine years of age. He was born in Greensburg, Kentucky, December 24, 1844, where he lived until the age of twenty five. At the age of nineteen he was married to Mary J. Thompson, who survives him. At the age of twenty five, he moved to Indiana and in 1880 he came to Nance County and located about ten miles west of Fullerton. He was the father of ten children, seven of whom are living: Martha Shiley, of York; Elizabeth Russell, Kate Russell, Minnie Scarlett, James R., John, and Dan. Mr. Morrison was among the oldest settlers in this county and during his life he made many warm friends who deeply mourn his death. He was a member of the Masonic Order, who had charge of the funeral services which took place Tuesday morning. Short services were held at the home in the southwest part of town at nine o'clock after which the remains were taken to the Morning Star Church were regular services were held at eleven and the remains were laid to rest in the Morning Star Cemetery near the church. The family have the most sincere sympaty of the entire community in their sad hour. (His remains were later moved to the Fullerton Cemetery near Fullerton, Nebraska.)
