Description : Robert was the oldest of 5 children, although 2 died as babies and the last baby was stillborn. Parents were Orrin and Ella Kelly who are buried in Remsen, Iowa. Bob was captured in the Philippines by the Japanese in World War II and was in the Bataan Death March. He was liberated in August 1945 and returned home in September 1945 only to find out his only remaining sibling, Edward Kelly, had been killed in Germany on April 12, 1945.
